First aid
What you can do yourself right now
Safety comes first. With these steps you limit the damage until we arrive.
More about roof leak repairDo not go onto the roof yourself
Certainly not in rain, wind or the dark. A wet roof is slippery, and loose tiles or panels can come away further.
Catch the water
Put buckets or tubs under the leak and lay down towels. Move belongings and furniture away from the spot.
Mind the electrics
Is water reaching a light fitting, a socket or the meter cupboard? Then switch off the circuit for that room.
Take photos
Of the damage inside and, from the street or the garden, of the roof. That helps us prepare and helps your insurer handle the claim.
